Dr. Carrie has adopted a movement pattern corrective strategy in her approach to treating patients; you must first regain mobility then create stability. She also places great emphasis on body mechanics and form as well as teaching the client body awareness, self correction, and self management techniques.
Dr. Carrie has special interests in treating CrossFit, weightlifting, running, cycling, and overhead athlete injuries (volleyball, softball, and swimming).
She has her USAW Level 2 Sports Performance Coaching certification, CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids Certifications. She has been active in the CrossFit community as a member, competitor, and coach.
Dr. Carrie also has a passion for helping women with pelvic floor disorders (i.e., incontinence, prolapse, painful sex (dyspareunia) with the goal of educating and empowering women to take control of their pelvic health in order to live life on their own terms.
Dr. Carrie started her path to pelvic health therapy after experiencing post-partum incontinence and struggling to return to exercise again. During this time, she gained a Specialization in Pregnancy and Post-partum Corrective Exercise followed by Pelvic Function Certification through Herman and Wallace.
In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor/adventure sports (racing, mountain biking, climbing, snowboarding) as well as competitive outdoor volleyball.
